原位生成制备Al2O3增强铝基复合材料

摘    要:研究了综合搅拌铸造法和原位反应制备Al2O3增强铝基复合材料,向熔体中直接加入制备高纯Al2O3的原料Al2(SO4)3粉体,由反应分解的Al2O3原位合成铝基复合材料。用该方法制备复合材料,既可节约成本,同时由Al2(SO4)3分解的SO3可以对熔体进行精炼、除气。结果表明:Al2O3颗粒和基体结合良好,没有发现气孔、团聚、集聚、偏析,克服了传统搅拌铸造所带来的铸造缺陷;Al2O3弥散增强铝基复合材料具有良好的冲击韧性和耐磨损性能;分解的SO3对熔体进行精炼、除气被认为是颗粒增强铝基复合材料走向实用化的关键。

Abstract: In-situ processed aluminum matrix composites reinforced by Al2O3 particles decomposed from Al2(SO4)3 was made through stir casting by adding Al2(SO4)3 to the molten alloy. Not only production cost is reduced, but also SO3 decomposed from Al2(SO4)3 can refine and remove the gas from the molten composites. As a result, Al2O3 and the matrix bonded well, thus improving the properties of ductility and wear behavior considerably, and eliminating the defects such as porosity and particles segregation as well. It is considered that the prerequisite to produce particulate reinforced aluminum matrix composites industrially is that SO3 decomposed from Al2(SO4)3 can refine and remove the gas from the molten composites.
