Abstract: The oxidation behavior of MgAlON powder was studied by means of non-isothermal kinetics. The oxidation process consists of two stages: the first stage controlled by chemical reaction at 760~920 ℃, and the second stage controlled by diffusion at 830~1 000 ℃. The apparent activation energy and frequency factor at each stage were calculated.
