Investigation of High Molar Ratio Potassium Solution Used in Zinc-Rich Coatings

摘 要:High molar ratio potassium silicate solution used in zinc-rich water-base coatings was prepared by adding the nanosize SiO2 to the low molar ratio potassium silicate solution, and its microstructure was investigated by SEM and IR.Furthermore, the zinc-rich coatings was prepared by adding the zinc powders to this type of solution, and the properties of the coatings were evaluated. The test results show that the high molar ratio potassium silicate solution is the bonder of zinc-rich inorganic coatings with excellent property.
