Abstract: A supported liquid membrane(SLM) process was studied for rare earth recovery from di-lute solutions. The SLM technique proved to be suitable for recovering and concentrating rareearth from the solutions containing NaCI or (NH₄)₂SO₄ .The influences of various factors suchas different carrier, concentration of earrier, PH value of the feed solution, rare earth concen-tration, HC1 concentration of the strip solution and flow rate of the feed and strip solution onthe rare earth flux were studied.
