摘    要：叙述了ORACLE7和Foxpro联合开发分布式数据库的一种方法.利用ODBC作为其网关,给出了两者数据复制的算法思想和数据的安全性控制.该法既可保留原有Fox的应用系列,又可发挥大型数据库的功能.

Abstract: This paper presents a method of developing heterogeneous distributed database by ORACLE7 and Foxpro. Through the gateway of ODBC, algorithms of copying data between the two kinds of database and the safe control of data are given. The advantages of large scale BDMS are utilized while the Fox series applications are still used this method.
